Investing in durex condoms will not give tax benefit , but investing in Educational loan , House loan , Pension fund will ...so knowing which investments are permissible under chapter VIA to take tax benefit is equally important ....if i go and buy sumit a sunny leone DVD , it gives me no tax benefit ...the fact that sumit becomes thrilled for 2 weeks is a different issue ...but thats how sad life is ...the indian govt gives me no tax benefit for buying sumit lodha a sunny leone DVD....if you understand this , then you understand tax planning....amlan
