Ireland is well known for its impressive music exports including The Script, U2 and Westlife to name a few, make way for break through artist off 2013 McMahon. Coming to you this Summer with his incredible catchy, fast paced uptempo, feel good single Deep Down. Music Promotions was lucky enough to catch up with McMahon for a chat about his single, artists that he would like to work with, TV shows he likes and more right here. https://facebook/mcmahonartist 1.What have you been upto? For the past few months I have been supporting many big names like Foy Vance, Brian Kennedy, and Gavin James. I was a special guest for Imelda May at Live at The Marquee in front of 5000 people in my home town of Cork. It was amazing and the crowd really got behind me and loved my music. I will also be playing Independence Music Festival on the main stage on Friday 2nd August in Mitchelstown Co Cork. With my band from the UK. 2.For those who haven’t heard it yet, Can you tell us more about the new single? It’s called Deep Down. It’s a fast paced up-tempo song, about a man seeing a girl. Who played the piano, her music moved him like she was touched from God. Meeting her afterwards and letting her know. I have been getting great fed back on the EP so far. It’s all very exciting. 3.When can we expect an album? The name of my Album is called Half Blind. It’s going to be released date at the start of October in the UK. Is there anyone or any group you’d like to collaberate with that you haven’t already? I would love to do some work with the Script – fellow Irish musicians Artists & celebrities are branching out with their own clothing range or perfume. Can we expect you to do the same? Ha, if I got the right people and product I wouldn’t say no, but my music is my main focus for now. Reality TV shows like X Factor, The Voice & American Idols find new popstars, is that a route any of you would like to go down? No. When can we expect a UK tour? Any supports? At the start of October, when the Album is released I will be doing a University Tour of the UK. I will also be playing at a festival called 6 and many gigs in London. If your music could appear on the sound track to any movie what would you choose? Do you watch much TV shows would you consider going celebrity juice or top gear? Anything you would like to add that I haven’t mentioned during this interview? Ha, I have songs for Sad Movies and Action Movies my music is so versatile, any opportunities would be great. My dream is to do the lap on Top Gear. I love driving. Keith Lemon is so funny. I Would love to be a guest on Celebrity Juice.
