Is anyone in Kenya selling a good reliable four wheel drive? It MUST be bigger than the soft-roader class (Toyota RAV4, Suzuki Escudo / Nomade, Pajero iO, Honda CRV, Subaru Forester etc.). It MUST have good clearance and preferably at least High and Low Ratio Four Wheel drive. Diff lock and power steering an advantage but not essential, as are good tyres, pref. on TUBELESS rims. Long wheel base or Short wheel base considered. Coil or leaf springs. Preferably Toyota Land Cruiser Diesel HJ60, Land Cruiser II or similar. Pajeros will be considered, but only petrol or non-turbo diesel models. Nissan Patrol also. Nothing made in Solihull please i.e. Land Rovers. It can be pre-1995, but MUST have been well-maintained. The car is for a lady friend of mine who will be living in Samburu and working with a local community wildlife conservation project on anti-poaching activity etc. It needs to be reliable and will go to a VERY good cause. The budget is approx. Kshs. 700,000/-. Thanks.
