Is it only a week ago we were in the middle of a blinding snow storm and the river was covered with ice????? Today I sat out on my balcony, draped in a towel (down, boys ... high up with no buildings in front of me and no neighbours to look in) basking in the heat of the afternoon sun. Tonight, as I come back inside, the river is filling with ice again, but it is that broken-up ice that is coming down the river from further north - another sign that spring is indeed underway. Hard to imagine from the -20c to +17c all in a matter of days. No doubt about it, were a tough bunch!!! Looks like the kilts are sidelined until next year :(
