It could be nothing but just in case: Years ago I remember a scam taking place in various places where ppl would approach you and have you smell perfume samples in the parking lot. These samples would actually be inhalants that would disorient you or temporarily cause you to lose consciousness while they robbed you or worse. While buckling my son into his car seat today I felt someones presence behind me. I turned around and a man was so close behind me he was practically in the van with me. He immediately began asking me about perfumes and offering samples for me to sell. I stepped close enough to him I could close my van and get a barrier between him and my kids and told him I wasnt interested. He became persistent and I told him, Ive told you Im not interested and further more Im a police officer so you need to get away from me and my vehicle. He began stuttering and said he was only trying to offer me samples but then he promptly hauled butt shaking his head to indicate no to others working with him in the parking lot. I called this into Central with their description and they were gone when the officers arrived. Again, it could have been nothing, but my gut says its definitely something. I feel he targeted me in particular because I was side tracked by my kids and I was in a van which should I be rendered unconscious he could just push me in and slide the door shut behind me. This was at Walmart in EC and was at least two white males, one with a book bag and one win a shoulder satchel. The guy who approached me had red hair, the other dark hair. Mid 20s at least. Both were physically fit, probably work out. Be safe everyone and be aware of your surroundings at all times. This could have been worse. FEEL FREE TO SHARE!!
