It doesnt say your religion and doctrines will follow those who believe, but rather it says these miraculous signs will! Jesus is not coming back to do what it is He empowers you to do right now. Eternal seperation or death is the last enemy which He will destroy upon His final consumating return. The other enemys that are being put under His footstool are the very ones that for the last 2000 years, the body here on the Earth has been colaboring with our King and all of Heaven to subdue. Ern Baxter said it like this, there is not a time in the future where Jesus has more authority than He already has. We just dont understand the difference between eternal authority and history experiencing it, and we dont really have the faith in the process, so we put it off as not our problem. And since jesus wont fix it, we have problems. Geese! Modernity has produced a majority of inmature posers hoping that our hero will save us while the hero laughs and says I did. However, He says, I did more than just take back salvations keys, I saved you so I can give you the gifts that will forever alter the World. Jesus already altered the authority by which we partner with Him now to transform the world. Not only will you be empowered to reign in life with abundance of health and wholeness, but it is two fold that His providence is the sign that overflowing blessing is obtained by those who believe. The reason we are saved and set apart for greatness is to provoke the World to come into the goodness of His Kingdom. When the Church dismisses the eternal solutions available today off to some unknown future breaking point, we actually lose our appeal to the World. I dont mean the easily persuadable members in the world, but the major players and shakers in the world. Those who are easily manipulated and need involvment tend to come in but those who are not easily moved who are waiting for something out of this world, find it difficult to join in hollow hopes since they dont see signs of real experiential change. So when Christians show case there defeats to the evils of the world, we dont offer any reasons to complell conversion. Look, trials on this Earth are not made or put on us by God, but they happen to us all and that very aspect of adversity is how He manifest His glory through us that the world can marvel and examin His goodness. If we apologize victory away till some future time, escapism at its core, we become a pointless distraction to those who already are overwhelmed by the World. We should be known as a people who are not ever sick, overflowing in abundance, and so full of fruit that we cant help but be Love. If this is not what the mirror reveals, then repent or change your mind by what the new covenant creation is all about......or what it should be. Keep in mind though, while looking around at your peers from the past and those of today, weve never seen mature Christianity corporately yet, and we should all be honest about growing up and bring the promise to the land. He has this and He has you, so get out of the rabit race and slow down, sow His intimacy into yourself and take inventory of you and yours first, we are not in some wide spread panick to get in before the bell rings children.
