It has been a bizarre, yet wonderful, morning. Madeline and I both woke up way earlier than normal. She cleaned her room without my asking. I made her a big, hearty breakfast to try to combat her belly woes and she surprisingly ate almost all of it, all while feeding my ego about my culinary skills (thanks, kid). She then asked me what organic was, which was really hard to explain to a 5-year-old, but I did my best. Then, for the icing on the cake, she asked me if she could help me do *my* chores when she gets home, because she wants to earn money to save in her piggy bank. She is now off to school and I am enjoying a quiet morning working with my furbabies. Happy Thursday!
