It has been a long day that still isnt over for thousands of people. Many are still stuck on the roads in traffic, or have run out of gas and are having to walk in the snow and ice. Some children are having to spend the night at schools because the school systems waited too late to let them out. My husband is stuck sleeping on the floor in a full hotel because the roads are a disaster and he cant get home. And, after spending around 8 hours driving, my oldest son had an extremely close call while helping an elderly driver when he was almost home. I am glad my husband is safe and warm. Im also glad that my son ( and his friend and the driver they were helping) werent injured in the incident on the highway. My heart goes out to all of those still out there in this mess...
