It is an odd thing. About 95% of the Government of the US is based an a vague clause in our Constitution that almost no one argues over. Article 2 Section 1 says that the President may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon this every cabinet position and therefore each and every department in our Government except the Congress and the Judiciary has been created. Things like the Department of State, and the Department of Education all come from this short little phrase in our Constitution. Congress of course plays a part in it due to them having the purse strings and the right of the Senate to confirm, but it all really rests upon that ambiguous phrase. The Constitution also says one other thing that our Government tries hard to forget. In our Bill of Rights, the amendments to the Constitution our first Congress made it says that our Government derives its power from the people, and it says that every power not specifically granted to the government belongs to you and me, the citizens of this nation. It really is an awesome amount of power if only we would as citizens realize and act upon it, our representatives in Congress get really nervous when we even come close to it in bodies such as the Tea Party. When we do we are called terrorists, kind of funny huh? Unless and until we the people say enough is enough our representatives in D.C., who I would argue represent only their own best interests for the most part, will continue to usurp our authority and rights. I really wish that we would learn as citizens and patriots to peacefully tell them authoritatively at the ballot box enough is indeed enough. Make them explain how it is they think they can continue to use and abuse rights not given to them under our system, starting with the President and moving right down the line.
