It is for Freedom that Christ has set you free, do not again be entangled with the yoke of slavery..... St. Paul, Gal. 5:1 Freedom is not an intangible. It is a perversion of biblical religion to relegate freedom to some spirituality that makes God transcendent to this fundamental principle of creation. Adam and Eve were given a CHOICE, before the Bible ever gets to any other issue between God and man.You have no freedom in the world beyond, that is Gods realm, you will do whatever He says, youll have no choice. Freedom is here, it is now, it is bought for you by blood, whether the blood of Christ or the blood of the brave band of brothers throughout history liberating the masses from tyranny. Freedom is your birthright, it is a choice that will determine your future, it is a choice that will determine the future of mankind. Chose freedom, or chose death. That is the meaning of the Bible, from the Garden and the Two Trees, to the Exodus, to the Cross, from the first chapter to the last. To make it about anything else is to be miserably blind of the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A Christianity that does not embrace this but elevates God above His own message, is a Christianity that I reject as hopelessly childish. His affinity with humanity, with His message that God and man are one (Jesus is God and man in one), is the primary message of Incarnation. The Crucifixion is the secondary, but necessary fixing of the wrong free choices. Born free/Born again, the message of God is that simple. Chose freedom, but one that does not enslave the rest of humanity or bring death into the world. Chose to bring life and liberty, which is freedom with responsibility.
