It is funny that when you point out something that is not right but practiced in a certain religion, the people of that religion would get very offended even though, by rational thinking, it is true that that particular practice is not right and doesnt provide a genuine solution for the core problem. Then again inside that religion, you see people practicing different believes that contradict with each sub-group of that religion. Each sub-group even condemns the believes of another sub-group although their root is the same religion. For example, the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. Also in the Muslim and Hindu religions. Yes, even in Hinduism there were sub-groups such as the Shaivism, Shaktism, and Vaishnavism as compared to the Urreligion of Hinduism. So why cant people believe in one concept of a religion and not have these inter-related contradictions in believes and practices? Religion suppose top bring peace and harmony for all humans on this earth. It is to ensure there is a harmony within the ecosystem. That is why religion is undoubtedly a SYSTEM and not just a practice of faith. Faith is not religion, so is God. So tell me again how do you see religion as a text book and follow it based on your interpretation to condemn the lives of other people? You should use religion as a GUIDE when things are blur and murky. But with that source you must also use your God-given brains to think rationally. Not just follow religion BLINDLY in the name of God. Because GOD did NOT create religion. Humans did. Sharan Suresh
