It is hard to share the light when so many terrible things are happening. I mourn the loss of Mike Brown. I mourn the loss of Eric Garner. I mourn the loss of all the people killed by untrained and ignorant & over armed police forces. I also mourn the loss of one of our most poignant artists and performers in modern history, Robin Williams. I mourn not knowing what kind of people Trayvon Martin and Renisha McBride might have become. I mourn the loss of lives in Palestine and Israel. I hate war, I hate guns, I hate seeing people in pain. I cannot ignore it or pretend these things are not happening. As an entertainer I have actively decided to spend my life helping spread love and joy. I will continue to do this wherever I go, for whomever is listening. I will do my best to help us all forget for a little time all the pain in the world. But is is difficult. This week its a little harder than it was last week, but its never easy. I wasnt going to upload this tune just yet, but if it helps someone get through this week then Ive done my job.
