"It is identified that poachers kill an elephant every 15 minutes.... they claim this is the cause of this looming extinction... HOWEVER- more accurately- first world corporations slashed and burned their habitat across Africa and Asia (N.America and S. America are not spared- now Australia has oil- look at the Middle East!) to mine, drill, and create biotech, monoculture agriculture plantations..... leaving zero identifiable traces of the native society that was there, nor the bio-diverse environment species depend on. IF we want to save the elephants (and thousands of other species who are also going extinct: LIONS, TIGERS, ORANGUTANS, LEMURS, MACAQUES, MOUNTAIN GORILLAS, LOWLAND GORILLAS, RHINOS, LYNX, Baiji Dolphin, WHALES, etc), we need to stop these war mongering, power and profit seeking multi-national corporations! They have taken over our governments. They are parasites that take advantage of more primitive locations (No different than the mentality that caused the genocide of the Native Americans), targeting weak established governments and cultures who cannot stand up to their bribes and/or threats and force..... allowing them to utterly decimate entire continents unstopped. We need to stop the poachers now, but we cannot forget that these animals HABITATS are nearly EXTINCT too (Savanna, Rainforest, Old Growth, Biodiversity, GMO/CHEMICAL FREE land, and safe water), and CORPORATIONS ARE RESPONSIBLE: Cargill, Monsanto, DOW, BAYER, Dupont, Syngenta, ADM, BP, Shell/Big Oil, Natural Gas, Coal, Lithium Mining, etc."
