It is interesting to see how a term like deathcore became - TopicsExpress

It is interesting to see how a term like deathcore became pejorative though it is/was not necessarily intended to classify low-quality bands in the first place. It seems like it has turned into something like it because of the myspace fame and the huge amount of wannabes. Has it always been like that? Can we already say that the modern scene suffers from the same thing? I see too many bands aiming at detaching themselves from the scene by actively trying not to be tagged djent. Or trying not to use the word so much because it is/isnt a genre. I mean, who cares? Im also wondering if thats a consequence of the deathcore craze. Personally, I think that being part of a scene is a great way to boost inspiration and experience, and its always important to acknowledge and honor your origins, as it doesnt mean you cant forge your own path.
