It is that time of year when working parents are stretched in a bazillion directions. Teacher gifts, end of year parties, anxiety over mapping out your kids summers. It all comes to a head in the coming weeks. I received the following email from a working parent: I am simultaneously drafting functional requirements for our new commerce platform and preparing a pasta salad to bring to the end of school square dance. The schedule can be maddening. Short of splitting in two, what can be done? I advised this parent to address it head on with her boss and ask for temporary flex time - flex time for the seven day end of year stretch. Are you bogged down with end of year madness? How are you handling it?
