It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63) You remember the above verse? Ah; The Lord Jesus Christ speaking. Do you know why “genuine servants of God” live the life of victory? It’s because of the Word of God which is at work in them. Everything you need is made available in the infallible word of God. First Jesus said that His word is “SPIRIT”. Have you taken time to understand the matter of born-again in John 3? If not, please do. The word of God makes us invincible, incomprehensible and untouchable. This word makes you live a supernatural life; a natural life that operates in the super realm. It makes you see beyond the physical and communicates within the celestial or extraterrestrial arena. The word of God grants you the ability to settle matters in the spiritual realm before physical manifestation. We can hear Jesus again saying, “The word I speak to you are spirit”. He says it quickeneth. No wonder God speaking through Bro. Paul in Rom. 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Wow! Actually, you have no need to say “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak”. Do you know why, the Spirit can “quicken your mortal flesh” – Hallelujah. See the testimony in 1Cor. 15:45, “And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” The word of God is indeed what we need. Again, Jesus said His word is “LIFE”. Is it not mind blowing? This word is so powerful that it can make alive. No wonder at the use of His word, lives are transformed, healings take place, broken homes and hearts are recreated, breakthroughs take place; in fact, all we need are given. At His word, the heavens and earth and all therein were created. He says it, and it comes to pass. When the word comes, hope come alive; Praise God. His word is life, meaning; the reality of His Godhead and Lordship are manifested in our physical bodies. The intake of His word reveals Jesus in us. When His word wrought spiritually, men now see it all over us. It becomes the fruit which we call “the fruit of the spirit”. The acceptance and practice of His “Spoken word” makes and moulds our actions. Hear Jesus again, “… the flesh profiteh nothing”. No wonder in one of the hymns it is sang, “… the arm of flesh may fail you…” But the word of God standeth sure.
