It is very sad to say that just about everyday in the British Virgin Islands that individuals are faced with problems regarding laws and regulations of some sort and here it is we have a problem with the status of Miss BVI. Why doesnt the committee ensure that the contestants are eligible to run? I have the answer, but it is masking it self as it occurs every year for many decades, because THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH GIRLS WILLING TO COMPETE FOR THE COVETED TITLE OF MISS B.V.I. Couldnt someone on the committee tell Ms. Tecora Morgan that it is against the Miss B.V.I. pageant to hold to crowns simultaneous in the same year? The answer is simply NO! The old people say there is something else in the mortar, besides the pestle. We need to stop finding loop holes and saying there are rules and regulations in place and reinforce and embrace these rules. I am not in favour of any contestant, nor being biased, but we need to stop embarrassing ourselves. Miss B.V.I. Committee please get your act together as this incident has been reoccurring for far too long. The rules of Miss B.V.I. doesnt need to be amended, it is simply the committee has to be thrown out and punished.
