It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Michael Mc Caugey, who passed away today following a short period of illness. Michael was one of the founding members of Galbally Youth and Community Association, a lifelong committee member for over 20 consecutive years and the current Chair. He also served in every position on committee of Piarsaigh An Ghallbhaile and was the current Honorary President. Michaels selfless contribution to his local community knew no limits. He has made the most amazing impact on every single aspect of life within our community. We were all enriched by his passion and commitment but it was his ability to build friendships with young and old which was one of his most endearing qualities. Through Michaels efforts and contribution we enjoy the most amazing facilities but thankfully also that strong sense of unity and common purpose. Michael worked tirelessly to achieve something very special that this generation and future generations can continue to enjoy. Every man, woman and child are indebted to him for this. Michael leaves behind his beloved wife and friend Mary, along with a wide family circle. We remember them all in our thoughts and prayers today. Rest in Peace Michael. A true gentleman and a special friend. X
