It is with utmost respect that I post this status. I dont often post on Facebook anymore; however, I feel I need to as most of my fellow peers have already. First I would like to send my condolences to the closer friends and to the family of Max Duesterhoeft. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through, and I only hope this brings you closer together. Neither Max, his friends, nor his family deserved this: especially Max. It feels unreal that all this has happened. Just a few weeks ago he wished me a happy, and safe, 21st birthday. Im glad we got to message. My only wish is that the conversation would have lasted longer. Second, to anyone who is distraught by this tragedy, please know that Max, and anyone his life touched, are now in the thoughts of everyone his life touched. We are all here for each other in this time of need. Lastly, I want to thank Max for all the fun memories of freshman year. There wont be anyway I could forget you standing out in the rain before we were supposed to go camping. Rest in peace, and may your family and friends be safe with you watching over them.
