It saddens me to share the news that my dog Mel has passed away. It’s never been a secret as to how special Melly was to me and my family, and I share this news because I know the same can be said for so many of you! Mel—or my little babyyyyy, princess, smelly, meller, or sugar plum carmy—was the best dog I could have asked for. Mel had more friends than most people I know, and lived the happiest, most care-free life of any living being on Earth! I can still remember the very first day we brought him home—he could fit in the palm of my dad’s hand—not to mention the way he would take the pickles off of his McDonald’s double cheeseburger! He was his happiest when riding on the golf-cart—either headed towards the basketball court or the lake—and we were our happiest when he would choose our legs over another’s to nuzzle his nose in between. Mel gave my family and many of our friends 13 years of joy, laughter, and unconditional love. He will forever be missed, but will live on forever in our hearts and in the 4,000+ pictures I have taken of him :) RIP Melvin—Thank you for being my little baby for as long as I can remember. We love you and miss you already!
