It seems and feels that just yesterday I started school. It turns - TopicsExpress

It seems and feels that just yesterday I started school. It turns out I have midterms coming up. Im somewhat happy and prepared, but then I get this from my professor: Choose five (5) of the seven passages below. For each, identify the play, the speaker, the addressee (where applicable), and the occasion in question. Then go on to comment on the passages thematic significance: how does it address or reveal the larger concerns of the play--ideological; linguistic; generic; stylistic--as we have considered them in class. Comment on relevance, connections to other plays we have read, where applicable. Also comment on the passages stylistic features (images, verse structure etc.) in preparing your response (i.e. do some close reading). I think I better prepare myself for the upcoming week. The hardest part for me is identifying who speaks in the plays… There are SO many characters I have read thus far. It will include 4 plays (A Midsummers Night Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado about Nothing (or Noting as was the original title), The Rape of Lucrece). Deep breathing, focusing, concentrating, and generating a compelling argument will give me the grade I need and deserve. GOSH! I LOVE BEING A BRUIN! Time to finally get some rest, Yoga class was small, yet rewarding. Time to think and dream about love, innocence stolen, wittiness, and consequences of actions. CARPE NOCTEM!
