It seems more and more that the world is pushing Christ out of Christmas and embracing vanity, greed and excess into what should be a blessed celebration. I was appalled today to see a news broadcast from the UK where there is a huge debate about removing Merry Christmas from greetings cards and Christmas paraphernalia and replacing it with Seasons Greetings or Happy Holiday. All this talk about equal rights and offending peoples sensitivity seems to only apply to non christian believers. Why cant I as a Christian have the right to enjoy my holiday the way it was intended...to bring glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!! Every other denomination celebrates their festivals with little interference from Government or the equal rights activists. Why are they targeting Christians? They have stopped prayers in schools in the US, changed the Trinity Cross to the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and removed all Christian symbology from public buildings. Whats next!!! I am no bible thumper but this is really bothersome. We wonder why our world is going to hell in a hand basket (both spiritually and physically). Let us not continue to fall into the same trap here in Trinidad. MERRY CHRISTMAS PEOPLE!!!! LET US WELCOME THE BIRTH OF THE SON OF MAN!!!
