It sounds like good things are in the works for the Westport - TopicsExpress

It sounds like good things are in the works for the Westport Winery for 2015. Westport Winerys Best Wishes Dear Fans, Friends and Family, We hope this note finds you well, safe and happy. Blain and Kim celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in September in the midst of an epic harvest and later with a quick trip to Oregon hunting agates and walking Lulu and Curzon on the beach. Thats where Blain nicknamed the Chows Tibetan Swamp Pandas. It has become a standing joke on the farm since they are often enjoying the pond. Youll even see a Tibetan Swamp Panda Habitat area on the map of the gardens in our new brochure. In researching her next book in the Aloha Jones Mystery Series, Kim began taking hula classes via Skype from a friend in Leavenworth. Its ironic to do this twenty years after leaving Maui. Her third book, Hamau Side, will be released in the spring of 2015. In June she finished her three year term as a Washington Wine Commissioner and is proud to have been part of the team that created WSUs new Wine Science Center. Carrie became a cider maker this year. Her three creations are named Mercy, Courage and Grace. Each benefits Mercy Ships as they take medical care to the poorest of the poor in Africa. She still volunteers on Grays Harbor Search & Rescue. Dana leads our winemaking team. In just six years his wines have earned over 300 medals. From his 35 wines the winery continues to support as many local charities. We are fortunate to have the winery provide for us and others. This fall Westport Winery was featured in a beautiful article in Wine Press Northwest. In September we also received the 2014 Environmental Stewardship Award For bringing national recognition to the Grays Harbor County Agricultural Industry. Together we are looking forward to an exciting new year. Well be opening five more acres of display gardens during our Fleur de Lis Festival on the last Sunday in April. It is our next step to becoming the Beauchart Gardens of Washington. We will also unveil two new sculptures that weekend bringing us to over 40 pieces by local artists in our free outdoor gallery. Thank you so much for your friendship. As always, we invite you to come for a visit. Until then, we send blessings to you and yours. (The winery is closed Christmas Day but will reopen every day at 11am until next Thanksgiving when we take another day off!) The Roberts Family Westport Winery 360-648-2224
