It was 41 years ago today I lost my mother Georgia Ruby Braxton. She was a remarkable woman who supported me in everything I did. I remember when I was a child she would always have me do clarinet recitals for neighbors in our living room. She bought me an organ when I said I wanted one and she would listen to me play for hours even though I was horrible. I have posted the picture here on Facebook. She taught me how to be a wonderful cook and more importantly to be extremely patient with people. She also had a wicked left hand. When I got in trouble as a child I never stood on her left side. LOL. I am left handed just like her. For all the holidays she would spend hours cooking and the entire family would come over for dinner. She believed no one should eat alone on the holidays. The house was filled with great smells, loving family and robust laughter. I think about her everyday and miss her terribly. Love you mom.
