It was an amazing weekend, swimming for 24hrs straight at the Swim 24Challenge with this amazing team to raise money for the San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundations Water Safety and Drowning Prevention programs. Over $61,000 was raised. Thats more than 6,100 swim lessons that can be given to kids who cant afford them. Drowning is the #1 cause of death for kids 5 and under. Our team, Mermaids and Mermen, swam 88,850yds or 50.48 miles. Personally, I swam 11,100yds for a total of 2hrs and 57min. The furthest Ive ever gone and the longest! It was a pretty EPIC weekend.
