It was clear when Vinnie came in to La PAWS that he had lived through some pretty bad times. Vinnie has several scars on his face, fore & hind legs, especially his hind legs. Everyone concluded Vinnie had been used as a bait dog. Despite all he had been through, Vinnie is an amazing loving soul. We wonder how a creature can live through such awful circumstances (and we cant event imagine how bad it was) and still be so gentle and loving. All Vinnie is looking for now is love. Yesterday, we discovered Vinnies canine teeth had been pulled leaving him unable to defend himself when used as a bait dog. We call Vinnie our Golden boy. He has the temperament of an old Golden Retriever. Despite Vinnies past, he is healthy, up to date on all shots and neutered. We never want Vinnie to endure pain from humans or canines again. A home with one or two people who will take him or be with him most of the time is best for Vinnie. Someone who will gladly make up for what was done in the past.
