It will be a year on Sunday since I have been for a real run...2013 was my year of injuries....hamstring insertion tear in April, patellar tendon tear in August, Piriformis syndrome since last September and finally capsulitis in my foot since December!! My last race was a triathlon last August.....feeling even more discouraged as I have just found out I probably have a glute medius tendon partial tear that has been the cause of the Piriformis syndrome (doctors appointment in 3 weeks to confirm via ultrasound). I have proclaimed 2014 as my year of healing and yet I find myself facing more recovery as the year goes by so quickly! But as I sit around trying my best to not feel sorry for myself I realize that I have so much to be grateful for...despite not being able to run I can still bike and swim...and I know that I will eventually heal (if I am smart about not over training) and be back to running!! This group gives me so much inspiration every day as I read what everyone is doing!! And as I have said many times before....my first real run will be dedicated to Meg...I know she will be there pushing me on:)
