Its been a busy week. On Monday night I attended the Little Thompson Watershed Restoration Coalition meeting in Berthoud with about 16 of their members. There are many people spending tons of volunteer hours to work on restoring the Little Thompson River and the adjacent areas that were damaged during last Septembers flood. This is a very committed group and I was very impressed with their dedication to this effort and to their neighbors. Tuesday I attended the COGA Connect lunch in Denver. The keynote speakers were Tom Clark, with Denver Economic Development, and our former Governor, Bill Owens. Both discussed the positive economic impacts of oil and gas in Colorado and the pending ballot initiatives that would have a devistating negative impact on our State, if approved by voters. Today I attended the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce lunch in Firestone and then tonight went to the Evans Chamber After Hours at Tortuga Bay (Ron Bland, I hope you start feeling better soon!). I enjoyed seeing so many friends and supporters at these events and as always, meeting lots of great people from around Weld County.
