Its been called to our attention that there is some drama and /or confusion over a rescue dog that we committed to, but was sent to another rescue after coordination efforts were muddled. In regards to the funds that were raised, RSBR will not be allocating them to another organization for said dog, that went to a different rescue. We feel strongly that these funds were donated by our followers because of the RSBR brand specifically. (ie, the high quality of care and attention, the superb vetting, and the overall high standards set by RSBR in finding homes, matching dogs needs and personalities to the long list of RSBR potential adopters. To send such funds to an external organization that has different standards and/or procedures would be an injustice to those that support us, and all that we do. We also feel that it would be fiscally irresponsible as a 501.c(3) non profit to allocate our crucial funding to another rescue that knowingly took her on, and thus any unknown vetting costs associated with the dog. (as happens with any rescue, and any dog) Furthermore, we disagree with the manner in which this dog was cared for, and a lack of basic vetting & knowledge upon immediate possession of the dog. This specifically is not up to RSBR standards of incoming dog care, esp with a unknown pregnant female. Therefore, while we have offered refunds to our supporters that have so kindly donated, as we were unable to bring the dog to RSBR, and 99.9% of the supporters have refused said refunds, we will be saving these funds for when they are needed for other upcoming boxers in need
