Its been quite awhile since Ive spent any time here on Facebook. But lots of changes have happened. When I started working at dollar tree back in may I loved it...and I still do....but my manager left a lot to be desired. Lets just say she was a bit rigid....ok....truth is....you couldnt drag a needle out of her ass with a tractor! One day I went for a walk and discovered that there was another dollar tree about a mile or so from my house....the one I was hired at was almost nine miles. And the one close to me was desperately needing cashiers. So I asked my manager how I would go about getting a transfer. She said Ill have to think about it and find a replacement for you. Two weeks later I asked her again about a transfer and she abruptly cut me off and told me I could work anywhere I wanted to and for me to consider that day my last day.....and she dropped me from the schedule! After freaking out for a few hours I called my district manager and told him of the situation...I wanted to make sure I hadnt been fired for simply asking for a transfer...he assured me that I wasnt. But by time I went to the other store new cashiers had already been hired. After almost a month and a half I am happy to announce that I am back to work at the dollar tree down the street from my house...AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I am treated as a coworker and not just as an employee....I love everybody I work with and am given the opportunity to do more than just cashier. I may have had to go without a paycheck for awhile but it was well worth it. My new manager is the sweetest woman and I enjoy walking in the door when I get there. Life is pretty damn good.
