Its interesting how wrong you can be sometimes! To VERY loosely paraphrase a friend of mine ... hard times? Use that torn up heart, call out to and get even closer to God and by it, you can be a blessing to others, with integrity. So, when I heard that two tickets and suitcases stocked with supplies for poor in Cuba were going to waste, unless someone else took over the tickets for the people who unfortunately had to cancel, I saw it as a chance to do just that! Gideon and I were preparing to leave for (non resort) parts of Cuba next week to help our friend on her 30th odd trip there, to deliver the donated supplies and spread some love. No matter how hard the travel agent and myself tried, the airline wont change the names on the tickets without charging $250 EACH : ( I even asked if the CEO of the company would like to make a donation to the humanitarian effort by covering the fee. They said no lol I thought I was on a right track ... but I guess not. Onto other opportunities I suppose : ) ... unless someone has an extra $500 laying around ; )
