Its morally reprehensible that the republican legislators are blocking our governor from expanding Medicaid coverage to families like mine (and many friends of mine) who desperately need it. Under the expansion, a family of four could make up to $32,913 and still qualify. Luckily in my situation we are still so poor that we are exempt from the penalty of not buying health insurance.....Hooray for us. Hooray for our children.... :( We get to not have medical care. What is happening here in Virginia (and in other states) sends a clear message how little some people value those that are less fortunate than they are. It makes me feel so sick to my stomach. Shame on those people without any empathy. The very idea that healthcare isnt a right....people who believe that certainly wouldnt feel that way if they werent as priviledged as they are. Poor people, even the mythical welfare queens of our country dont go to the doctor for fun to waste your tax dollars!!!!! Its not entertainment. They arent getting breast implants or botox. They receive healthcare that is essential to stay alive, to care for those spoiled gutter children (or whatever fantasy people have about the way welfare children live). Look those human beings, look those children in the eye and tell them their parents dont deserve it - that their parents deserve to die if they get sick. I am utterly disgusted.
