Its my Mom Lucille Giddings birthday today!!! I have tried to come up with a song for her,,, but I stuck with the one that made her name Famous,,, because she is Famous and fabulous to me,,, . I remember hearing this song on the Jukebox at the Knights of Columbus 641 when I was growing up or on the scratchy AM country radio stations. Or,, Id hear my dad sing it all boracho when we were hunting and we had a campfire and were a few beers down and he was feeling good and he knew my mom was his blessing for sticking out his pain in the a$$ ways,,, It was song that a man knew he his wife could only put up with so much --- but my mom is better than that -- shes had 4 kids,, Tanya Giddings, Nicole Giddings Ortiz, Pamela Giddings and me,,, Then we picked up Chris Ortiz and we had a huge family with a lot of little ones -- we arent perfect in anyones eyes ,, but were are perfect in my Moms heart -- as I approach 44 yrs old this year - shes still there by my side - teaching me how to do things,, and telling me shut up if I need to:) ---- the part in this song when she says Im no quitter --- defines my mom --- because she hasnt quit on on us or my dad-- hell ,, she lived in a hotel for 7 months in Colorado well he was sick -- and she was gonna stay until she brought him home!
