Its official - I am Stir Crazy. I tried all 500 channels tonight - I cant stand the thought of another tv show - we dont watch too much tv and Im pretty sure in the last week, Ive hit our annual limit. Game shows, history channel, movie channels, news channels... spoiler alert, its Obamas fault and congress voted to not vote. Oh and the Palestinians and Israelites still despise each other. Netanyahu is tired of being bullied even though the death ratio this week is 300 to 1 in his favor. Hey theres Batman and The Abyss, weve only seen those 10 times each. No thanks. So I loaded everyone up and headed out including Truman - Friday night 10:30p. Nothing open except IHOP - tempting but no. I just wanted to walk some aisles and maybe buy something. You know, a baguette, a coloring/puzzle book or maybe a larger flat screen television - maybe The Abyss would feel fresh again if it were only larger. Nah. We filled up at the gas station and listened to the radio. Hundreds of satellite radio stations, nothing good except a Billy Joel song that we played twice. I thought about gas station donuts, but Im not quite that desperate yet. We tried two Publix groceries thinking maybe a last ditch baguette or something from the bakery. Both closed. The town circle - dead. Wait, is this Purge night? Did we miss the memo? Came home and settled into this chair that Im pretty sure is ruined by my ass and back prints from sitting and sleeping in it for over a week. Maybe tonight is the night I can finally lie flat in bed - or a couch - Id take either. Julie made chocolate pudding for the first time in forever, but nope, not cold enough yet. I love Europe but Im a cold beer, cold pudding kind of guy. What can I say, I love Bill Cosby. Im not really even a pudding fan, but anything different right now is good. Popped in/out out of the freezer and yes, much colder/better, ate half, thats enough. Why am I ranting on Facebook? Hell if I know. Im just entertaining myself and maybe now you. Maybe one of you is having an insomnia-like boring Friday night and will call me so we can solve the problems of the middle East and the US Congress - Im game if you are. Then we could strut around like Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor in Stir Crazy shouting Thats right, we bad, we bad, uh huh. I warned you in that first sentence. :p
