Its that time! Our group leaves for El Salvador next Friday with Convoy of Hope and we are soliciting donations to take with us. Teachers: If you have any items you are not using and that includes used crayons, pencils, etc., we would love to take them to the schools we would visit. ANYTHING you have will be appreciated greatly by these teachers! We also will be visiting some childrens homes where small toys, stuffed animals, gently used clothing including baby items, are greatly appreciated. We also have need for any type of school supplies in general including any Spanish posters, basic English posters, etc., like they have at Dollar Store/Tree. Hotel/travel size soaps, moisturizers, etc., are also welcomed. One of our greatest needs is with an elderly home we visit. There are about 40 homeless elderly that are in need of lightweight sweaters, mens pants and light long sleeve shirts, and socks. Additionally, the baby home has requested shampoo, soap, and moisturizing cream. The girls there use pads, not tampons, and they are always appreciated as are hair barrettes, ribbons, headbands, etc. If you have any of these items new or used you would like to donate - or cash is always great as we purchase before we leave - I am happy to arrange a pick up or you can drop them off.
