It’s exciting that Marquette is already buzzing with NMU students as the fall semester starts up soon. Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) will soon be in full swing. Many parishioners volunteered their time, talent and treasure to support CCM last year. We know that students are always hungry, not only for the Word and Sacraments, but also for home cooked food! We invite you to sign up in the Msgr. Patrick Gathering Space to bring an item for our meal on Wednesday nights when we offer our Food for Thought series. We are requesting that three people sign up for each week. This will break down the menu into a main dish, side dish and dessert. Please keep it simple! We want to encourage anyone who may be thinking about what to bring to consider making a soup or casserole for the main dish, bringing a salad for a side dish and anyone thinking of making dessert, to bring a cake or some cookies. Please consider sharing your time, talent and treasure again this year. If you have not signed up before and have questions about what to bring or how much to make, give us a call at 228-3302. Also, as is our custom, we will have a special collection in support of Catholic Campus Ministry for NMU after Communion at each of our Aug. 24 & 25th Masses. See today’s insert for more details. Next weekend offering envelopes will be placed in the pews for your convenience, or you may use the Catholic Campus Ministry envelope found among your envelope packets.
