I had to just run out to the store, and the cashier noticed my NASA t-shirt. She said, Oh, I wish they still had NASA. To which I informed her that, yes, NASA still exists. She said she thought it was broken down and sold off to private and foreign companies. That got me thinking about the Space Age and how the US was once its leader. Only US Americans have walked on the moon. We were once the leader in science, math and technology. Then I came home and saw this article where David Suzuki is quoted saying the same thing. We can do it. We can, as one commenter said, treat global warming as if it is WWII, and make a massive push to change our infrastructure to a sustainable infrastructure.
