Ive always enjoyed NYE and NY day and tonight I get to play my last gig of 2014! The last time I played a new years eve event was to ring in 2011.. I literally had just begun playing in Dec. 2010 and it was my 2nd gig ever with the band Useless.. this marks 4 years of playing! Im like a preschooler in guitar and band playing-I just turned four! Luckily I learn fairly quick- cause the commando arranger would have my head otherwise.. ty for making me a better player Mike Villalobos! Sooo last night I learned the whole version of Angry Samoans song: Time Has Come. We put two songs I wrote on hold but will debut em on Jan 11th for my BDAY show! Yeah, Ive been writing this year and actually introducing my bandmates to some of the songs. I write alot after all! My friends change yearly- and I thank those who were around this year and made my life that much better. May karma repay you dearly! This was the toughest year for this capricorn-rat, as it was implied to be- it is the year of the horse afterall. I lost friends and had to bury some rad souls. Souls that will live on in my mind and heart. The impact is real! I live. I learn. I play. Thankful for my parents, sisters, our entire extended family, my closest friend and confidant Mike V- Thank you for everything you do Mike! You are an amazing human being! and of course thx Dave Travis for bringing me on board the Cafe Nela fams as a publicist, door person, beertender, performer and most recently as a promoter for my own thang I call: Cinx Presents- Live Music Lives! I absolutely needed a different way to earn a living and you gave me a chance- sooo thx sir! Its been a trying year for alot of people I love dearly as well as my fb friends/family.. thx for staying on the rollercoaster with me.. and allowing me to continue riding along with you too!
