Ive always heard the guilty dog barks first and apparently thats been happening. So let me clarify something, I have worked since 1981, yes, thats 33 years and all but 2 1/2 years have been in healthcare, started at the nursing home, then 18 years in home health and been at Riverstone almost 12 years. During these years I have had alot of training in customer service and how people should be treated. I also believe the words my Lord says about treating others as more important than yourself and about doing your work as unto the Lord. My Lord is compassionate and caring and was always kind and helping others. So my post a few days ago concerning parking at Riverstone is only because I care about the patients and I dont understand why a provider / owner, their spouses, staff whether a primary care or a home health office manager and their staff feel they are entitled to take spots that are much needed. We rent 1/8 of the building and Dr. Whaley, Dr. Jones or none of our staff take those spots and we dont like getting our cars dirty or our shoes wet either but its a few extra steps. Our office has 4 wheelchairs that people borrow all day long to get the patients into and throughout the building. Some have started to ride the MATS bus because they cant walk from the parking lot and the sheriffs dept was called because so many cars park in handicap spots without tags or placards. So its not just me, this issue is discussed daily throughout the building. As for my patient last week she does require oxygen and its not illegal to drive and use it, I checked. So in conclusion, dont go into a meeting and talk about me, come to my office and talk to me. We can agree to disagree and Ill certainly try to see you side.
