Ive been fighting a cold for a week and a half. I went out and bought my 3rd bottle of Nyquil today and discovered why Im still sick. Ive been buying regular Nyquil instead of Severe Cold Nyquil. How stupid of me!! But wait a minute, Im a guy so isnt any cold I get a severe cold? They are as far as Im concerned. So why even make regular Nyquil? Why not hit your cold with everything you got right at the start? Ill tell you why. They can charge $2 a bottle if they label it for severe colds. I compared labels to see what the difference is. Severe Cold Nyquil has 10 mg of phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant. Our noses dont get stopped up when you have a regular cold? What a bunch of marketing BS. I bet they have a cure for the common cold but its more lucrative for them to keep duping us into buying all the over the counter cold medicines.
