Ive been wondering how to show kindness in my world. But we went grocery shopping yesterday at Target and I had a toddler and newborn with me - so no time to diddle daddle. As I was walking down the aisle, I heard a woman with a thick Indian accent asking an employee for a specific item. I could tell the employee had no clue what the lady was asking for because she kept asking her to repeat. Because I worked in a school in Seattle with many students and parents with the same accent, I knew from the first time I heard her that she was asking for ricotta. I told that to the employee and she looked at me like I was speaking another language. So frustrating! I tried to direct the shopper to the aisle, but she just gave me a blank stare. I sort of expected the employee to take over. Then it hit me - God was giving me the opportunity to show kindness!!! So I told the shopper that Id take her to the ricotta cheese. She was so grateful! Made my heart happy to finally do something in Josephines name!!!
