Ive held off on my rant about this as I didnt feel the need to waste my breath on people didnt bother to educate themselves on mental illness before running their mouths, but then came across this.. So heres to all the ignorant a**holes (pardon the language) who keep posting on here about how selfish he was to have taken his own life. How he was a famous/rich comedian who had a bad day so we shouldnt mourn him or feel sad. Until youve walked their exact journey, you are in no position to judge. Its a disease that may have no physical wounds but is very real and they suffer daily. Im by no means saying suicide is the answer but neither is shaming those who unfortunately lose their battle this way. Tragedies such as this are an opportunity to create awareness and dissolve the stigma associated with mental illness so that more people can feel comfortable coming forward and getting the help they need. Rant over.
