Ive made mistakes in life.... admittedly... and I CONTINUE to learn from each and every one of them. This being said, what I may have done in the past shouldnt tarnish what Im trying to accomplish for the future. My goal is to make substantial changes for those who are barely heard. I want to give the most vulnerable a voice. I constantly fight a fight that seems un-conquerable, help those that others simply walk over, listen to those who have jaded pasts and tough stories to tell. I have my faults, but I work my ass off to help others. This must be worth SOMETHING. I can not continue the work I do without SUPPORT from the community. Recently, community groups and social services have TURNED THEIR BACKS ON ME. Its much easier to turn someone away then to LISTEN to concerns and ADMIT that the system is broken. There are people sitting in positions (primarily in social work) that shouldnt be there. Theyre more concerned with NUMBERS and BUDGETS then doing WHATS RIGHT. We need to stand up for each other! Whats right is often not whats easy! If we dont ban together and shed light on what we SEE going wrong... there will be no change. I refuse to sit silent on this anymore. Eric
