Ive seen lots of posts recently about our Christmas lights and it gave me an idea. Could we as a town have a JustGiving site to raise funds towards more lights? Im not sure how it would work (maybe it could be done with the assistance of the town council?) or even whether this would be allowed but it would be one way of us all chipping in. Ive been reading about Portishead and their lights - it would be an enormous and quite daunting task to take on and organise something similar but many of us would like to contribute somehow. Lights are so expensive that its unrealistic to expect the council to stump up more cash for them. There are a lot of people in this town however, even if we all gave just a pound that would be a significant contribution when added together. Just a thought. X
