Ive used comfrey for most everything cited and have to say Ive been quite delighted, its under the fruit trees mulching the ground. Truly it is the queen of the multifunctional plant for permaculture microfarmers everywhere, even the smallest home garden, on the borders, it adds topsoil from deep below even most fruit trees and plop back on the high ground and as it sloughs it does sacrifice itself to the worms all year, the chickens will eat it when no food is near, for healing and sealing Ive never seen better, for I read of it for years as knitbone, and have seen it do just that, with a legendary reputation it lives up to its name again and again, and in levels you dont use everyday, too bad the FDA tries to put it to shame. too many uses,
