I’M JUST SAYING… “I A’INT NO PUNK”: SAINTS OF GOD…FROM THE PULPIT TO THE PEWS…HEAR THE WORD FROM THE LORD: R U HAVING AN IDENTITY CRISIS-DO U KNOW WHAT PROPER COVERING IS? When you line up in the natural with your creation role, you gain confidence and security in your walk. Allowing society, the opinions of people, and dysfunction to steer you in other directions will always produce the lack of identity and purpose. Gen. 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. DOES MY SPIRITUAL EXISTENCE LINES UP WITH GOD’S SALVATION PLAN? When we live for God and work to please Him according to His biblical standards then we can always find ourselves in His word and have a place to be affirmed and validated in the spiritual realm. This gives us validation as a Kingdom citizen based on nothing else but what God has said! Eph. 2:10 For by his act we were given existence in Christ Jesus to do those good works which God before made ready for us so that we might do them. MY PAST DOES NOT DICTATE WHO I AM BUT I CHOSE TO LIVE IN VICTORIOUS LIBERTY AND NOT BONDAGE Whether you were raised in dysfunction or you chose dysfunction later in life, we must not allow our shortcomings to become our identity. We must not allow the past to give us an identity crisis either. We can always point to Gods deliverance from our past as the starting point to our new identity. 1Cor. 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. MY LOOKS, SKILLS, TALENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS DO NOT DEFINE ME, BUT ONLY ENHANCES ME. What we accomplish in this life or are able to do is not who we are. We should be human beings and not human doings. Trying to find peace and fulfillment in doing things will not fill the empty voids that dysfunction has caused. Only operating in our creation role and the peace of Gods Spirit can make us whole and complete in this life. 1Sam. 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. MY PATH IS SET BY GOD NOT BY MAN, AND I WALK OUT HIS PLAN FOR ME AND NOT MY OWN. Preparation for the future should consist of implementing Gods will instead of our own. Sure, we will have desires in this life and as long as those desires do not conflict with Gods perfect will, then its ok to pursue them. But we must make sure we are not following our own desires and attempting to add God to them after the fact. We must keep Gods will first and deny ourselves to avoid an identity crisis. Rom. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Low self-esteem and self-value is always the root cause of an identity crisis. Growing up in dysfunction or deficits is usually the cause of low self-esteem or self-value. When our parents dont value us properly, then we are usually stamped with low value in our own minds. Divorce, neglect, abuse, abandonment, deadbeat dad, weak fathers, etc. usually causes us to feel devalued and later in life this plays out as low self-worth and causes us many times to go after things to boost our value in the eyes of others and ourselves. This puts us on a quest to find identity and make many mistakes along the way. We must allow the Word of God to heal these issues by applying Gods natural and spiritual identity to our lives. We must operate the way we were created and we must operate according to Gods spiritual standards to carry our true identity. Doing what we were created to do and living out who we were created to be will give us our true identity. This may be easier said than done in some cases because our lives could be full of deficits because of the dysfunction we faced. But in order to operate in our true identity, we must commit to lining up with Gods Word and plan for our lives no matter what the cost. Its the only way! Jer. 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. FOR GOD I LIVE & FOR GOD I’LL DIE!!! THE HARVEST I S PLENTIFUL…BUT THE LABORERS ARE FEW!!!
