I’m pretty excited and a little nervous to be getting on a plane to Africa in just a few moments. For the next 16 days I’ll be volunteering my time and craft, partnering with NGO organization Kiwimbi Global on a service trip. I’ll be working with Kiwmimbi staff and the local folk of Amagoro in Kenya. A trip to visually tell their story and mission of supplying students the tools and opportunity to attend university, instill farmers with the knowledge of sustainable agro-forestry techniques to build the community’s future homes, and to provide access to classic literature and current technologies. Additionally excited to share my photo and video knowledge and furthermore collaborate on a project with the local children. Cant wait to see what comes from this experience. Hope to capture some wonderful images and stories to share with you.
