I’m really getting fed up here, I have a background in Computer Science. Given the right tools I can write, and debug any application problem there is, and it does not matter what language it is in. I have worked in the field as a trading specialist, and I am a master of motion, and probability. I have a background in psychology, and sociology. I have worked in customer service, and many areas of education, and I have outstanding references. I am independent, and self-sufficient, and I enjoy traveling. I love to go tent camping in the deep woods. I love fishing, swimming, bowling, and all types of games that the average person could only dream of playing. So excuse me if I seem a little defensive when a sighted person tells me that I cannot handle a specific task, or work in a in a specific profession because I am blind. Maybe you are the one who is blind because you cannot see beyond your own preconceived notions, and prejudices. I am getting so sick, and tired of having to argue my intensions, and abilities because of people’s ignorance and in ability to get to know other cultures that exist outside their narrow minded world view. If I ever find one person that will take the time to understand, accept, and appreciate me for who I am, and what I can do they will have my full attention, and loyalty for the rest of my natural life. However, I will not compromise what I know to be true, and I will not let myself be taking advantage of. So don’t underestimate my abilities because it will be your own undoing, and your loss. I can do all these amazing things, but I cannot get a job because the powers that be say I cannot do anything because I’m blind. Even the organizations for the blind that are run by sighted people tell me I cannot do what I know I can do. I say to hell with them. If I’m going to be damned then I’ll be damned for who I really am. Don’t tread on me, and don’t tell me what I can, and cannot do. I will not give up, and I will not let dimwitted morons get me down.
