JAMES: my James is in so much pain. He cannot lie down and has been sitting up bent over like this since 5am. Ive now put pillows on his lap so he can try to rest his head. The medical team think it may be gastro. But it doesnt really add up to me. His pain is too much, and he hasnt been vomiting or otherwise as much as Id think he would if it were gastro. The pain mainly appears to be on his right side were the cannula sights are for the VAD. Its so hard as a parent to sit by and watch the painful curled over body and hear him constantly grunt in pain. I do fluctuate from agitated impatience at the slow speed tests are run and understanding that it takes time to work out what is wrong. So today will be another day of tongue biting advocating for James and rubbing his back.
