JANUARY 21, 2015 Scripture Reading: Genesis 42:18 – 43:34 Matthew 13:47 – 14:12 Psalm 18:16-36 Proverbs 4:7-10 Thoughts about TODAY’s Scripture (What is the Holy Spirit saying to you as you read? Write it down.) _____________________________________________________________________ “It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;” 2 Chronicles 5:13 Praises for TODAY (What are you particularly thankful for today?) _____________________________________________________________________ TRY IT GOD’S WAY Psalm 18:30 says, “As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried.” God is always right and His way is perfect. He has chosen to instruct us through the written word. That’s why reading the Bible is so important. He instructs us, teaches us, and gives us wisdom through His principles. It’s only when we try to live man’s way or the world’s way that we run into trouble. You will never go wrong by doing it God’s way. That’s true in your life, your marriage, your life’s vocation, your money, raising children and everything else in life. Priorities for TODAY (What are the most important things you need to do TODAY? List them in order of importance.) _____________________________________________________________________ Others Project for TODAY (What could you do for someone else TODAY? Who do you know who may need some encouragement from a visit, phone call, note, or just letting them know you are praying for them?) _____________________________________________________________________ Principle of Prayer: “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers. 1 Thessalonians 1:2 Soul Winning and Missions Principle: Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (1 Peter 2:24) Stewardship Principle: And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. (Genesis 4:3) Leadership Principle: “No man is wise enough by himself.” Plautus MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK: “And He saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)
